Description:Loddon Mallee Integrated Cancer Service (LMICS) is a network of health services in the Loddon Mallee Region and is one of nine Integrated Cancer Services (ICS) in Victoria. The ICS are funded by the Victorian Government as part of Victoria’s Cancer Reforms, with current work informed by “Victoria’s Cancer Action Plan 2008-2011” (VCAP).
The ICS Partnership Projects were established to assist with the implementation of the VCAP recommendations. The aim of the projects is to improve outcomes for those affected by cancer by creating or strengthening partnerships between the ICS to support improvements in cancer care. LMICS & WCMICS have been successful in securing a project grant.
The position is for a project officer based in LMICS at Bendigo with responsibility for implementing the project. Some travel to metropolitan and LMR areas will be required. The project officer will work closely with the DQPR Coordinator LMICS (Partnership Project Manager) and Project Clinical Staff (WCMICS) to ensure successful implementation of the project.
The project officer will have an appropriate healthcare or related tertiary qualification, along with qualifications and/or experience in project management.
